Covergirl TruBlend Matte Made Foundation ~ Review

FINALLY A DRUG STORE FOUNDATION COMES OUT THAT HAS MY ACTUAL SHADE and doesn’t make me look like a pink flamingo! When I saw the launch announcement for this foundation, I was ecstatic. First and foremost because they came out with 40 SHADES. FORTY. SHADES!!! IN THE DRUGSTORE. Amazing. My neutral toned skin is very pleased. I found a shade that matches me perfectly: L40. I also paid like $10.34 for it. Um, what? My first thoughts when I was buying this was “will this be as good as the L’Oreal Infallible Matte? The infallible foundation was what got me shopping at the drugstore for makeup again. It was one…

    OleHenriksen Truth “Smoothie” Review

Everyone who knows me knows that I’m a reckless skincare hoarder. I currently have 5 “gasp it’s almost gone I need a new one” cleansers sitting in my bathroom that I still haven’t used up…because I keep buying new ones & using them before I finish the existing ones. About a month ago, I had another one of these moments where I looked at my cleanser collection and realized they were all approaching death. Did I continue to use them until they were done? Nope. I ordered a new one. In fact…I got two “sister” products because they were a fan-fucking-tastic deal (two OleHenriksen full size products for $46.00, which…

Tips to Surviving a Long-Distance Relationship!

So those of you who don’t know me personally, probably have no clue that a) I’m married, and b) my husband and I met years ago in my homeland of Bosnia & Herzegovina, and c) we spent a huge portion of our relationship long-distance. Long story short, Ned happens to be from my dads hometown, a small town in the Herzegovina side of Bosnia. We originally met in 2010, which also happened to be my first time going back home since we moved to Canada in ’95. We briefly dated in the summer of 2011, and didn’t speak again until late 2013! Two years later we were married (it’s our…

JASON Dry Spray Deodorant – Review

I love when I receive surprise PR, especially when it’s something like deodorant because I seem to frequently forget that things like deodorant are part of beauty too and hey Una…maybe someone wants to read deodorant reviews? Typically, I use stick deodorant. I find that it holds its scent longer and definitely helps with perspiration way better than a dry spray does. At times I DO buy a dry spray, it’s usually Dove. Why? Mainly because I know nothing about other deodorant brands and Dove feels the safest, but also because I enjoy how it smells. With my lack of deodorant knowledge, I most certainly don’t look into the ingredients…

The Real Deal with Estee Lauder’s Double Wear Foundation

So after hearing people go on and on, and on and on, and ONNNNNN about Estee Lauder’s DoubleWear Foundation, I FINALLY (thank you birthday giftcard) went out and bought the damn thing myself. I’m not really the kind of person to jump on bandwagons because I’m more the kind of person who subconsciously refuses to like anything that goes viral until people don’t care about it anymore. Why? No idea. Guess I’m just too rebellious LOL. Anyways, so I bought the foundation. A nice girl that works at Sephora helped shade match me (finally, after waiting about 30 minutes for someone to actually offer to help me), and off I…

    Pearlessence Dry Shampoo

It has been a good while since I’ve owned a dry shampoo. It’s one product that I can never seem to remember to buy, and when the odd miracle would occur and I DID remember, my go-to was generally Batiste. Guilty confession: I mostly only bought Batiste because a) everyone loves it and b) it’s cheap but does its job,¬†however I wasn’t actually the biggest fan of it, because I haaaaated how it made my hair feel like sticky hay. The other day I was casually strolling through Winners as we do after a nice payday, and after my 5th lap around the skin/body/hair section, I decided the 7 things…

    Hello friends!

Hello everyone & welcome to my first official post on my new blog! For those of you who weren’t familiar with my old blog (The Unaverse), I started blogging a couple of years ago and had a mostly beauty-related blog that I went through many love-hate phases with. In the past 6 months, I had really started slacking with my blogging, and I felt like I was kind of “over” it all; the perfect aesthetics, themes, all the color coordination and insanely perfect everything and everyone that is the showcase of every bloggers portfolio nowadays (and even the bloggers themselves). Blogging is fun, but the blogger industry itself comes with…
